How We Made a 30CM Lady Justice Silicone Mold with a Support Shell

Image
The G6003 project is a large Lady Justice bust mold built as a flexible silicone inner mold with a rigid support shell. The finished casting shown here is approximately 30 × 20.3 × 19.7 cm. This workshop record follows the real supplied video rather than presenting a universal formula. Why the support shell matters A large flexible mold needs stable external support during pouring and casting. The rigid yellow shell keeps the silicone inner mold aligned and helps the assembly hold its intended shape. Binder clips secure the shell sections while still allowing the mold to be opened for demolding. 1. Seal the bottom edge The bottom edge is sealed with double-sided tape before pouring. This creates a practical first barrier against leakage at the base of the mold assembly. 2. Start with a small silicone pour The recorded process begins with a small first batch. Keeping the initial liquid level low reduces pressure at the bottom edge while the seal is checked. 3. Complete the seco...

From a 3D-Printed Athena Master to a 30CM Silicone Mold

Image
A 3D print does not always have to be the final product. In this G6002 workshop project, we used a 3D-printed Athena sculpture as the master for a 30CM silicone mold, then validated the finished mold with a real plaster casting test. The project moved through a clear workshop sequence: 3D-Printed Master → Mold Housing → Silicone Pouring → Demolding → Plaster Casting → Final Result . Watch the complete G6002 workshop video on YouTube Starting With the 3D-Printed Master The starting point was an approximately 30CM 3D-printed Athena sculpture. Here the print served as the mold-making master: its form and visible surface details were the features the silicone needed to capture. Preparing the Mold Housing The master was positioned inside a rigid mold housing. We secured the housing and used double-sided tape as part of the bottom sealing process. For a larger mold, the bottom and joined edges need careful attention before liquid silicone is poured. Careful sealing helps reduc...

Wholesale Silicone Candle Mold Buying Points for New Product Lines

BK Silicone's new article explains that wholesale mold buying should begin with the product plan, not the lowest unit price. Wax melts, pillars, decorative candles, and private-label items each need different mold structures and business checks. The guide recommends reviewing silicone quality, cavity design, packaging fit, and whether the order should start with standard molds or move directly into a custom project. It also gives a useful MOQ and supplier-question checklist for buyers who want to test a few styles first and expand only after market feedback is clear. This Blogger post is only a short summary and does not copy the original website article.
